It’s year two for the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns under Billy Napier and one of the defensive players expected to break out is defensive back Deuce Wallace.
The former St. Thomas More Cougar joined Bumper to Bumper Sports with Ben Love during his time at Sun Belt Media Days and talked a lot about what to expect with the defense with year two under defensive coordinator Ron Roberts.
“His coaching style is aggressive and makes you stand at the edge of your seat. If you’re not wired the right way as a defensive player, it might scare you a little bit and that will show this coming season because we barely scratched the surface last year.
“Last year, we were learning from week-to-week. We had to install a complete defense during the spring and summer and that’s not enough time. We used last season as basically practice so now we have 14 games under our belt with the same defense, same schemes and I think we just loaded up our defense even more.”
Hear from Wallace in the interview above with Wallace talking about his former teammate in William Bellamy, what position he expects to play, and more.
