Cam Meredith’s time with the New Orleans Saints came to an abrupt end on Monday morning and he punctuated that with an Instagram post that simply said “It’s been fun”.

This was first reported by Herbie Toepe of The Advocate.

Meredith tore his ACL in a preseason game while a member of the Chicago Bears in 2017. The Saints signed the restricted free agent to a $9.5 million offer last offseason, but he agreed to reduce his base salary from $3.4 million to $1.3 million back in March. Meredith appeared in just 6 games for the Saints, making 9 catches for 114 yards and 1 touchdown.

Heading into training camp, head coach Sean Payton mentioned that he had passed his conditioning test and that this would be an important training camp for the former Chicago Bear.
