Carlos Gomez gets his first day off since being part of the Houston Astros organization. But it’s not the way that he would want to have a day off.
During last night’s matchup between the Giants and the Astros, Gomez made a sensational grab in the bottom of the first, but banged his right knee into the wall at AT&T Park. Gomez continued to play after the catch.
The Astros have decided to give the centerfielder a rest day after his knee was sore and a little swelling according to Astros manager AJ Hinch.
Hinch also went on to say that not starting today and the team having a day off tomorrow, Gomez could be ready for Friday.
