Louisiana traveled to Tallahassee, Florida to play a red-hot Florida State team. The Seminoles jumped out to a 35-0 advantage in the game before the Cajuns made it more respectable with a 49-17 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Florida State started the game by going 75 yards on eight plays, capping it off with a 36-yard touchdown run by Treshaun Ward to make it 7-0 Seminoles just two and a half minutes into the game.

The Seminoles etended their lead to 14-0 with a Jordan Travis keeper from three yards out. Early in the contest, Florida State was doing just about anything they wanted against the Cajuns.

With the first quarter winding down, Jordan Travis scored again on the ground, this time from 13 yards out to grow the lead to 21-0 at the end of the first.

Halfway through the second quarter, Treshaun Ward found paydirt for the second time as well to make it 28-0 Seminoles.

Three minutes later, Travis found Malik McClain for a nine-yard touchdown pass to increase the lead to 35-0 before the half.

Florida State opened the third quarter with a four play, 72 yard drive that ended with a two-yard touchdown run by Trey Benson to make it 42-3 Seminoles. FSU was able to establish a ground attack against the Cajuns and produce points.

The Seminoles added onto the damage, bringing in backup quarterback AJ Duffy. He found Markeston Douglas for a 16-yard touchdown pass and the score stood at 49-3 Florida State.

Louisiana found the endzone in the fourth quarter when Fields hit Michael Jefferson for a five yard score to cut into the lead slightly at 49-10.

Later in the quarter, Louisiana added seven more when Chandler Fields kept it himself for a five-yard run to make it 49-17.

BIG NUMBER: 244

Florida State ran the ball for 244 yards in the contest, which is the most Louisiana has given up to a single opponent this season.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Jordan Travis

Travis was great during this game, going 9-14 for 112 yards and a touchdown in the air while adding 38 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

UP NEXT: Louisiana (5-6) will travel to San Marcos, Texas for the regular season finale against Texas State. Kickoff from Bobcat Stadium is set for 4:00 p.m.
