GET TO KNOW THE GAME: What are you Top 5 favorite Christmas songs?

Posted by Raymond Partsch III on December 16, 2022 in Blogs, Clint Domingue, Featured, Hannah's Blog, James's Blog, Latest News, Local News, Miguez's Blog, RP3's Blogs

Every few weeks the lineup of THE GAME 103.7 Lafayette and 104.1 Lake Charles — Southwest Louisiana’s Sports Station will share a little something about themselves.
This week the team answers the question:

“What are your Top 5 favorite Christmas songs?”

Hannah Five Names (Morning Producer)
1. Benny Grunch and the Bunch — “12 Yats of Christmas”
“It’s my favorite song because in the song there is a lyric about the Chalmette Refinery where my step dad used to work.”
2. Mariah Carey — “All I Want for Christmas is You”
3. Miser Brother Christmas — “I’m Too Much”
4. Emmet Otter Jug Band — “Ain’t No Hole in the Washtub”
5. Emmet Otter Jug Band — “Our World”

Matt Miguez (Host of Crunchtime with Miguez & Meche)
1. Michael Buble — “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas”
“This song has always been a popular one in my house. The best version is Michael Buble, but there have been many good ones.”
2. Chuck Berry — “Run Rudolph Run”
3. Paul McCartney — “Wonderful Christmastime”
4. Bobby Helms — “Jingle Bell Rock”
5. Any church service Christmas song — These are always so good. It reminds you of the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

Clint Domingue (Host of Under the Dome)
1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra — “Carol of the Bells”
“Full disclosure, this is a different list than most of all the Christmas songs out there, there ain’t many that rock like this one does. The beginning of the song feels like it belongs in a movie’s epic final battle scene. Then the guitars come in and goes crazy and I love when that transition hits.”
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks – The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)
3. Dave Grohl, Lemmy, Billy Gibbons – “Run, Run, Rudolph”
4. Run DMC — “Christmas in Hollis”
5. Clarence Carter — “Back Door Santa”

Raymond Partsch III (Host of RP3 & Company)
1. Nat King Cole — “The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You)”
“Nat King Cole has always epitomized Christmas for me. When I was kid, we would always go to my grandparents’ house on Christmas Eve and Nat was always playing. My parents carried on that tradition of playing Nat on Christmas Eve and I have proudly done the same. This song always fills my heart with joy. For me, it is the perfect Christmas song.”
2. Bing Crosby — “White Christmas”
3. Nat King Cole — “O Come All Ye Faithful”
4. Burl Ives — “A Holly Jolly Christmas”
5. Brenda Lee — “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”

Jordy Hultberg (Host of The Jordy Hultberg Show)
1. Andy Williams — “Happy Holidays”
“It’s my favorite Christmas song because it always reminds me of home, my parents and the holidays. My dad would always play it as my sisters and I would walk through the door to celebrate Christmas. Just great memories.”
2. Jose Feliciano — “Felix Navidad”
3. Andy Williams — “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”
4. Mariah Carey — “All I Want for Christmas is You”
5. Paul McCartney — “Wonderful Christmastime”

James Meche (Afternoon Shows Producer)
1. Mariah Carey — “All I Want for Christmas is You”
“That’s the go-to song for most people 30 and under I feel. It’s the number one song all-time for a reason.”
