Good Bad Football

Posted by alanmichael on November 19, 2015 in Featured

I do not like it when people dismiss a big game just because the participants have lousy records. Sure tonight’s #TNF game features two sub .500 teams. Big deal! This is the NFL and every game matters bay bay!

The Jaguars are currently 3-6 and only 1 game behind both the Colts and the Texans  for the lead in the AFC South. A win tonight would put Blake Bortles in his first career playoff race. This is huge! So much is on the line for a franchise who was floundering before a filthy rich dude who looks like Super Mario on LSD purchased the team and made their helmets two-toned!

The Titans fired their head coach Ken Whisenhunt a couple weeks ago and went on to beat the Saints! Now Marcus Mariota, in his first year as a starting NFL QB, is on a 2-7 team that still has everything to play for. A victory on the road tonight would propel Tennessee back into the mix in the NFL’s most (achem!) challenging division.

Sure these teams have no hope in hell when one of them miraculously enters the playoffs. I don’t care about all of that. All I want is football being played with conviction. That is what you will see tonight. Seriously tough physical football played by two bad teams with everything on the line. I will be rooting for the Jags. They give us the best shot to hopefully witness history: A 6-10 playoff football team. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
