Tom Benson will remain in control of the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans after a judge ruled that the 87-year-old is capable of managing his affairs.
Benson’s daughter Renee Benson and grandchilden Rita and Ryan Leblanc had argued that the octogenerian’s mental health was in a decline and needed to be out of power of his estimated 1.7 billion dollar empire.
Benson bought the Saints in 1985 and bought the then Hornets in 2012.
