Meche’s Fantasy Football Advice – Love/Hate Week 12

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and you know what that means. The trade deadline is coming up soon too and we are one step closer to starting the fantasy playoffs. Here are players who’s matchup I love and other I hate.

LOVE

Michael Gallup – Amari Cooper is ruled out still with covid and CeeDee Lamb is currently listed as questionable. I expect Gallup to step up and burn a Raiders secondary who hasn’t been good at all this season. I would also pick up Cedrick Wilson if he’s still out there on your waiver wire for this game if you need someone to fill a receiver or flex spot.

Deebo Samuel – Samuel has been a beast this year and has made fantasy owners like me very happy with his production. The 49ers will host the Minnesota Vikings, who give up a league high in fantasy points given up to the wide receiver position. Brandon Aiyuk might even have a good game himself.

Noah Fant – Fant hasn’t been very productive the last few week and hasn’t reached pay dirt. On the contrary, with the Denver Broncos giving up the fewest amount of fantasy points to tight ends, the Chargers are second worst in points given up to the position. Fant’s last touchdown came against the Raiders who are fifth worst.

David Montgomery – Now that Andy Dalton is starting for the Bears, I expect Matt Nagy to keep it really simple and just feed Montgomery the ball and try to get out of Detroit with a win. I see the same going for the Lions to give D’Andre Swift the ball and finish the game as fast as possible.

Russell Wilson – This is a big must win game for Seattle with Wilson not having his best games since coming back from injury. The Seahawks will travel to our nation’s capital to play the Football. Washington has given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks thus far and is the perfect pick-me-up game for Russ to cook.

HATE

Stefon Diggs – Yes, the Saints defense is very much banged up and Marshon Lattimore hasn’t locked down receivers the last few games either. Lattimore does play up to competition and Diggs is certainly an elite receiver that should hype him up to make him a non-factor.

Matthew Stafford – Stafford has a long history of not winning very many big games. I would consider this a big game for the Rams as they will face the Packers in Green Bay and Los Angeles has lost their last two games in primetime.

Leonard Fournette – Even though the Bucs give up the fewest rushing yards per game, it’s actually their opponent, the Colts that allow the fewest fantasy point to the running back position. Fournette has been okay the last few weeks, but hasn’t gotten into the end zone since week seven.

Myles Gaskin – The Panthers are another one of those teams that allow so few fantasy points to running backs as backs like Alvin Kamara, Miles Sanders and Cordarrelle Patterson all had bad games against them. Gaskin hasn’t been productive running the ball often this season and will have his work cut out for him this Sunday.

Hunter Henry – Henry has been very consistent and a solid option to start as he has caught seven touchdowns since week four. This week I wouldn’t go to him or Jonnu Smith if either one of them play or any of the Titans tight ends in this game as both teams are top six in the league in neutralizing the position.
