The Anniversary of Hank Aaron Blasting his 715th Home Run

Posted by on April 8, 2016 in Featured, The Jordy Hultberg Show

Today in 1974 Slammin’ Hank Aaron took a pitch deep to left center field that left the park for his historic 715th career HomeRun.  That one swing not only lifted Hank over the previous HomeRun record held by The Bambino Babe Ruth, but it became immortalized as one of the greatest moments in baseball history.  Long gone are the days of fans coming on the field to congratulate their favorite players, and Hank handled just that with great poise and respect.

Although Barry Bonds has since passed this record up, we will never forget the greatness that was Hank Aaron. If you want a look at what the final HomeRun of the great Hank Aaron’s career looked like, check out the video below.  From the smooth swing, congrats from the other team, and fans coming on the field just to touch the greatness it was truly a moment that will be cemented in sports history forever and ever.
