Fans of Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics will hear a familiar voice at Lamson Park this season as Cody Junot will serve as the play-by-play voice of Louisiana softball for the 2023 season.
“It’s important that we have consistency in our broadcasts. We are fortunate that Cody’s work schedule allows flexibility and we know he’ll do a great job in bringing the excitement of our nationally-ranked softball team to our listeners,” said Jay Walker, Director of Broadcasting for Ragin’ Cajuns Sports Properties.
Junot has spent the last six seasons as the sideline reporter for Louisiana football radio broadcasts and has done fill in play-by-play for spring sports. Junot has also been a part of select ESPN+ telecasts during that time.
Bobby Neveaux, who has served as color commentator for softball broadcasts, will continue in that role.
Junot and his wife Rachel have two sons, Grayson, 8 and Hudson 5.
The Cajuns open their season with the Louisiana Classics on Friday against Lafayette College at 4 p.m.
