After a successful season opener against Ole Miss, Jaylyn Gordon received the Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the week award.
Gordon tied a career-high on Sunday with 29 points en route to a 82-78 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels. This was the first time since 2006 the Ragin Cajuns defeated an SEC opponent.
The junior point guard also hauled in six boards, three assists, and two steals on Sunday. Gordon is the first Cajun to earn the honor since Keke Veal in January 2015.
